Dicks Sporting Goods Clinches Lead in Fourth Inning to Defeat Midtown PT
Dicks Sporting Goods defeated Midtown PT 12-4 on Friday after taking the lead late in the game. The game was tied at three with Dicks Sporting Goods batting in the top of the fourth when Michael H grounded out, scoring two runs.
Midtown PT fired up the offense in the first inning, when Jiei T lined out, driving in a run.
Dicks Sporting Goods took the lead for good with four runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Jack L doubled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.
Dicks Sporting Goods scored four runs in the fifth inning. Dicks Sporting Goods big bats were led by Tiernan H, Logan H, and Chase M, who each had RBIs in the inning.
Tiernan led the Dicks Sporting Goods to victory on the pitcher's mound. The ace lasted one inning, allowing one hit and one run while walking zero. Chase, Garrett M, and Jack all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory. Chase recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Dicks Sporting Goods.
Luciano S was on the pitcher's mound for Midtown PT. The bulldog went two innings, allowing zero runs on one hit, striking out one and walking zero. Logan R and Colby H entered the game as relief, throwing two innings and two innings respectively.
